8 Instagrammable Shopping Malls in Malaysia with Winter Wonderland Christmas Decorations
#1: Genting Highland or Resort World Highland
Cameron Highland is really cold around this time of the year! All the more reason to visit Genting Highland or Resort World Highland and see its beautiful Christmas Decorations!
Genting Highland will have many Christmas attractions and activities at the SkyAvenue.
There’s the lighting of the 30ft tall Christmas Tree around 7:30 PM at Metro City, to the Christmas Parade at the SkySymphony.
Don’t forget to drop by the SnowWorld, with its perfect snow environment and Winter Wornderland vibes.
2. Sunway Pyramid
Sunway Pyramid‘s theme for this December 2019 is a very German Christmas, so it’s like walking backwards in time to old European Christmas time.
Sunway Pyramid made a copy of Altmark Square (meaning Old Market Square). This market shows the Traditional German lifestyle in Dresden. It’s an important landmark and is perfect for an old, vintage Christmas look.

3. Pavilion KL
This year, Pavilion KL decides to go full-GALACTIC SCIFI with its STAR WARS-themed Christmas Decorations! They officially partnered with Disney to bring this very-spacey Christmas Adventure to their shopping mall.

And yes, you’re actually seeing the Millennium Falcon right in the centre of the whole court, standing at over 40 feet tall!
4. Paradigm Mall, Johor Baru
Paradigm Mall over in Johor Baru, on the other hand, decided to get creative this Christmas Season and actually put up an upside-down Christmas Tree that’s 6.8 metres tall!

Though their main theme for this December 2019 Christmas is Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears, the upside-down Christmas Tree actually steals the spotlight!
5. Suria KLCC
Suria KLCC‘s Winter Wonderland is nothing short of beautiful and magical, with its Snowmen and Merry Village.
But the glory goes to their 1,000 foot-tall Christmas Tree! It’s actually the tallest Tree in Malaysia right now.

6. Queensbay Mall
Queensbay Mall went all out White Christmas this December 2020. There’s a lot of cute penguins, tall white trees and snowmen with their see-through igloo!
They have a lovely Christmas Tree too, but it’s not as big as Suria KLCC’s.
7. Berjaya Time Square
While the other shopping malls went white, Berjaya Time Square went red. Its main ornaments are shiny red Christmas balls or baubles, with red houses and a very red Christmas Tree!
8. Sunway Putra Mall
Sunway Putra Mall Christmas Theme is an Austrian Christmas, with a market place, Winter Playground for kids and other activities for an amazing holiday celebration.
But what’s really amazing is the real-life snowfall that graces Sunway Putra Mall’s court every 3pm and 5pm in the afternoon, adding to that Austrian Winter effect.
It’s magical, alright.
